Ginger and Turmeric Fire Brew

Inflammation

This three-ingredient brew has been used across South Asia and parts of Africa for centuries to address systemic inflammation. The kind that causes joint pain, brain fog and fatigue that never quite goes away.

What you need: Fresh ginger root, 1 tsp turmeric powder, black pepper. This last ingredient is critical.

Peel and thinly slice the ginger. Add to 400ml of water and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce heat and add turmeric. Simmer for exactly 8 minutes, not longer or you lose the volatile compounds. The black pepper is non-negotiable: piperine increases curcumin bioavailability by up to 2000%. Without it the turmeric passes through your system almost entirely unused...
